International Beer Day

International Beer Day is without a doubt, the best day of the year.

It's celebrated on the first Friday of every August and was founded back in 2007 in California by Jesse Avshalomov.

It's the one day of the year that you need no excuse to celebrate (that, and the fact it's a Friday night)

So come on down, and join us for a pint of the good stuff...

National Prosecco Day

As we bask in the (hopeful) sunshine's rays, National Prosecco Day, August 13th, represents a time to raise a toast to the remaining few days of Summer bliss.

A sparkling wine, Prosecco is made from a variety of grapes. One of the oldest is the Glera, but Prosecco can also be made from Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Primarily grown and bottled in the Veneto region of Italy, Prosecco’s draw is its elegant mousse. In wine-speak, the mousse is the lovely, persistent bubbles giving it the sparkle that makes Prosecco so appealing for celebrations. Along with that touch of sweetness (usually dry), light-bodied, refreshing aromas and flavors of white spring flowers, citrus fruits and green apples paired with a wallet-friendly price tag, Prosecco exudes an easygoing sense of fun, occasion, and everyday celebration.

So come down and join us as we celebrate all day long...

National Rum Day

It’s a dark ‘n stormy day when the rum runs out, but lucky for all of us there will be plenty to go around on August 16.

Today, we pay tribute to the currency of the Caribbean as we celebrate National Rum Day.

It actually makes sense why the rum’s always gone — it’s a delicious spirit that springs from swaying palm trees and sugar white sand.

The earliest rum distilling companies can be traced back to the 1600s when sugarcane was cultivated and its byproducts were used to create the drink.

So hip hop down to The Belmore and let's raise a glass together...

National Pinot Noir Day

Pinot is a fantastic wine, but a temperamental grape.

With its rich colour and complex flavours, it is often largely considered one of the most hedonistic wines ever made.

Elegant and berry-lie, its velvet flavour is the perfect addition to any affair. Pinot Noir Day celebrates this wine - why not come down and enjoy a glass or two (or a bottle) at The Belmore?

Manchester Pride

4:00PM - 4.00PM

This year, Manchester Pride will take place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend

This internationally renowned festival, which is currently one of the largest in the world, has also recently announced a brand new, unique and exciting location for its new live music element, to be named Manchester Pride Live.

This ticketed event, which will replace what was known as The Big Weekend, will take place at Mayfield, close by to Piccadilly Station.

If you're looking to find accommodation close by, then look no further than The Belmore.

We are based just a twenty-minute tram journey away from the City Centre and provide a variety of accommodation to suit everyone's requirements.

Bank Holiday Monday

It's the Bank Holiday we've all been waiting for...

Summer is almost over, but that doesn't mean that the drinks need to stop flowing.

Let's commemorate another British summer with a glass of the good stuff.

Whether it's a glass of Pimms, Prosecco or a Pina Colada - cheers to Summer 2019.

And while you're at it, why not book to dine in our restaurant or al fresco in our large beer garden? It might be your last chance...

Red Wine Day

You don’t’ need an excuse to drink red wine, but seeing as its National Red Wine Day, we know you'll gladly take it.

So, who do we have to thank for National Red Wine Day on August 28? None other than writer and wine aficionado Jace Shoemaker-Galloway (of course). It’s anyone’s guess as to why this date was selected, but we’re guessing that a love of sangria had something to do with it.

Impress your friends with this quick wine related fact over dinner at The Belmore today...
